Elijah Jackson

In 2015, Elijah Jackson was severely beaten by police officers in Washington, D.C. Eight years later, in 2023, a District of Columbia jury returned a verdict of more than $1 million in damages.

Wayne McDonald

In 2012, the mayor of the City of Denver wrongfully fired Wayne McDonald. McDonald filed suit, alleging that the mayor’s unlawful comments were slanderous and violated constitutional rights. The case set a legal precedent on wrongful termination and defamation.

Jimmie Sanders

In 2017, Jimmie Sanders was shot and killed by a police officer in Appleton, Wisconsin. Jimmie was an innocent bystander, and his family sought justice for his wrongful death.

Daphne Eiland

Beginning in 2009, Wisconsin state prosecutors closed childcare centers in Milwaukee by the hundreds. In 2012, Daphne Eiland was charged with defrauding Wisconsin’s child care subsidy program. She was the only childcare owner to successfully clear her name at trial.
